This Privacy Policy explains what information StackRecipes (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit stackrecipes.com, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

- Comments. When you leave a comment we store the name, email address and website you submit, along with your IP address and browser user agent. This helps us detect spam.
- Contact forms. If you write to us through a form on this site, we receive the name, email address and message you send, so that we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our web server records the IP address, date, requested page, referrer and user agent of each request. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
Why we process this data
- To publish and moderate comments you choose to submit (your consent).
- To answer messages you send us (your consent, and our legitimate interest in responding).
- To keep the site secure and available, and to diagnose faults (our legitimate interest).
- To comply with legal obligations where they apply.
Affiliate links and third parties
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click one, the destination merchant may set its own cookie in order to attribute a later purchase to us. Our site is hosted on a server operated by Hostinger. Your requests necessarily pass through that infrastructure.

How long we keep it
- Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so that follow-up replies stay readable in context.
- Messages sent through a contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and then deleted.
- Server logs are rotated and deleted automatically after a short retention period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive it in a portable format. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these rights come from the GDPR; if you are a California resident, comparable rights come from the CCPA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
